I am setting up an amateur radio station at Camp Buffalo - a Boy Scout camp
that serves as the summer camp for sixteen north central Indiana counties.
A local widow donated her late husband's station to the Scouts. We have also
received a grant from the ARRL for the purchase of a modern transceiver. I
hope to have the station operational before summer camp this year. Several
smaller items are still needed to complete the installation.
Please look through this list, and see if you have any excess equipment that
you can donate to the project. The Scouts will be glad to provide a receipt
for any donations.

Grounding supplies:
Ground Rods

Heavy gauge wire or strap
Copper or aluminum plate for entrance panel
Furniture is needed for the operating position. The radio room will also
serve as a camp office so the ability to lock up the equipment is desired.
We are still looking for the best way to furnish the station. Possible
helpful items include:
Office desk with locking storage
Small 19-inch rack-mount cabinet
Storage cabinet
Antenna Supplies:
Wire
Open wire feed line
Insulators
UV stable rope
Pulleys
Rotor control cable
Surge Suppressors
To get the antenna support ropes into the trees we need access to a tall
bucket truck. If you know someone with such a truck that would volunteer
some time please let me know.
