THIS IS A CORRECTION TO BULLETIN INARRL 021-2004

During the 47th Annual ARRL Jamboree on the Air, Boy Scout Troop 272 of
Fountain County was busy preparing for the event.

Troop 272 has four (three scouts, one adult) licensed Amateur operators, and
they have their own club station and call WB9SA. Troop 272 also enjoys their
own radio room, complete with ten computers linked to high speed internet, and
their own web site www.troop272.com

At 2PM on Saturday October 16th, WB9SA went on the air and operated until
about 7:30PM EST. On Sunday WB9SA operated on the air from 10:00AM EST to
1:30PM EST.

Stations worked include:

IT9SAK - Nunzio Sambataro from Belpasso Italy
HB9S via the HB9G repeater - Richard from the World Scouting HQ in Geneva
Switzerland
K1BSA - Boy Scout Camp Roosevelt in Maine
VE6JAM - Various Scouters in Calgary Alberta Canada
DX3UNA - Boy and Girl Scouts in Subic Bay Philippines
VK4WJ - Scouters in Queensland Australia
KC9GBA - Kevin Douglas, Sr. Patrol Leader from Bloomington Illinois

Troop 272 has high ambitions to have at least 10 licensed amateurs in the
troop by this time next year. Troop 272 is run by the boys and they are
fortunate to have a Scoutmaster like Brian K. Walker K9BKW. This year the
Troop 272 JOTA included the work of 10 boys, a 2m Station, a 100w HF station,
Echolink, a two foot tall stack of frozen pizzas, and a whole lot of fun.
