Joe,

Many thanks for the kind words regarding David Spoelstra N9KT.
He has received my personal thanks for all of his efforts in the
fostering of support for the passage of SB 109 through the Indiana
Senate and House.

I have heard from a number of sources that Rep. Patrick Bauer,
Speaker of the Indiana House, has a rather "short" temper.  So,
the result of Rep Bauer's personality quirk, and David's persistance
caused Dave, me, and the entire Indiana Amateur Radio Community
much consternation. The news story in the Indianapolis Star was
most unfortunate.  Many of those who chastised Dave Spoelstra
would have been much better served by waiting to get "The Rest of 
the Story", before making derrogatory phone calls and e-mails to
him.  I hope that future legislative activity regarding Amateur Radio
can come off more smoothly than this first one for my term as 
Indiana Section Manager.
