SUBJECT: There is still hope for SB 109

To all Indiana Hams:

YOUR emails have put Rep. Hasler (Democrat - Evansville) on the fence
(special thanks to you Evansville hams). Before he received them, he
told
me that he had decided to let the bill die in committee.

He is now considering letting the bill be heard, but wants to do some
due
diligence first. He plans to call the Indianapolis and Bloomington
zoning
boards and find out the issues they have come across by allowing 75
foot ham
towers before he makes his final decision.

We face *EXTREME* opposition from the Indiana Association of Cities
and
Towns. They are a large lobby with full time lobbyists that live in
the
statehouse and talk daily to every Representative about voting against
SB
109. They have been extensively lobbying everyone on the committee to
defeat the bill. It will take the efforts of *every* ham to defeat
them and
get this bill passed.

If you haven't yet sent a letter to Rep. Hasler, there is still time.
His
email address is [email protected] (phone 800-382-9841). Also, make sure to
send
an email to your own Representative. You can find out who that is at:
http://www.in.gov/apps/sos/legislator/search/

If you already sent an email, thank you for supporting Indiana hams.
