[InHam] New location of Indy hamfest

It is true the attendance was down somewhat and some venders didn't
show at last years Indy Hamfest. If you remember, the date last year
was July 6, in the middle of the Fourth of July weekend. Lots of folks
are out of town plus vendors couldn't get people to work that weekend.
If it were held at the Marion County Fair grounds this year, the date
would have been July 5. The only date available because the Fair
starts earlier in the month than it did a few years ago. Not a good
weekend for a hamfest.
It will be more "compact" this year. A large tent is being rented to
provide additional covered flea market space. The outdoor flea market
will be in the grassy area closest to German Church Rd. The grounds
are actually quite extensive and general parking will be in the area to
the west of the permanent buildings.
BTW, the date is July 12!
