INARRL BULLETIN 098-2002

8:06 PM 12/30/02 DE KA9QWC

SUBJECT: INDIANA CW NETS

The primary purpose of this bulletin let everyone know
that cw is alive and well in the Hoosier state. In fact
for those who are interested Gary/KB9TUI has done a real
great job on the newsletter which can be found on the
internet at:

http://www.onlyinternet.net/kb9tui/index.htm

You will probably find ham friends from your own
county listed there and others you thought were
inactive in ham radio.

For myself, KA9QWC as net control I had the following
stations to check in on the 1430Z session of QIN on
Monday 12/30/2002, NY9A, KC9BZL, KO9D, K8LEN, WB8LQU,
WB9OZZ, N9PF, K9PUI, KB9TUI and K9ZBM.

QIN is the Indiana Section CW Traffic Net, a part of
the ARRL National Traffic System. The net meets daily
at 00:00 UTC and 14:30 UTC on a frequency of 3.656 Mhz.
Newt Straup (KJ9J) and Dick Hickok (K9PUI) are net
managers. It's mission is the handling of formal and
informal amateur radio traffic in conjunction with
the NTS.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
ICN is the Indiana Code Net. It is a slow-speed
traffic training net which meets daily at 23:15 UTC
on a frequency of 3.705 Mhz. The ICN net manager is
John Rodenbarger (WB9OFG). It's mission is to train
CW operators in the proper methods of handling
amateur radio traffic and to pass traffic to the
QIN Net.
-------------------------------------------------------
Are you active on other CW nets, if so why don't you
forward some info to the INARRL BULLETIN manager and
tell me about yourself and the net.
