Folks, regardless of your position on the possible Iraqi war, young
men and women will be serving their country, our country, in the armed
forces overseas.

Boy Scout Troop 120 of Southport Indiana has begun Operation Support.
In Operation Support we are maintaining a list of soldiers that are
currently serving in the middle east. We will begin in about two
weeks, to ship small packages (about the size of a VHS cassette) of
support items from home, these items may include pre moistened
towelettes, instant coffee, instant oatmeal, dried food items, pre
sweetened Kool Aid, etc etc.

Why these items? We have discussed this with Gulf War vets, and other
military personnel and they have helped us to select items that the
troops would most appreciate. So we feel these items from home will
be beneficial and useful.

Each scout in the troop has committed to "adopting" several soldiers,
and will communicate via snail mail at least once a month with a
support kit and a letter.

This has nothing to do with ham radio.

If you have a loved one serving overseas, and would like them to
benefit from our program, please send me their military mailing
addresss in private email. Please do not post replies to this list.

Thanks es 73
