Indiana QSO Party

On Saturday May 3, from 1300Z to 0500Z (May 4) hams in Indiana will
reach out to the rest of the world in the Indiana QSO Party. Beside
trying for awards for fixed and mobile stations inside and outside
Indiana, a lot of county hunters will be on the air trying to collect
needed Indiana counties.

For the first time, we expect to be able to hand out contacts from all
92 counties. We even expect to have an aeronautical mobile!!! Since
the
MARAC CW county hunter contest and the New England QSO Party overlap
with the Indiana QSO Party, expect a lot of activity on the bands. It
would be great if Indiana stations would listen for MARAC and New
England mobiles and work them whenever they change counties (just as
we
have asked them to listen for Indiana mobiles). You can even keep logs
for MARAC and NEQP contacts and enter those contests as well.

For more information on HF frequencies and operating plans, and
logging
software files, see the INQP web page at www.hdxcc.org/inqp.

Plans are already underway for INQP 2004, when we'll merge with the
Indiana Buffalo Stampede to create even more Hoosier Hospitality with
a
special event station representing the Indiana Radio Club Council.
That's 2004.... But until then, please try to get on the air next
weekend and make Indiana visible. If you don't have HF operating
privileges, consider working with another ham as a "multi-op" to put
your county on the air.

See you then?
