[InHam] SB109: Zealous lobbyist gets bad reception

The following is quoted from a message posted on this reflector by Jim Sellers 
K9ZBM, Indiana ARRL Section Manager, on 20-Feb-2003:

"Thanks also go to State Government Liaison David Spoelstra N9KT who has been 
extremely helpful to both me, and the bill's author State Senator Rose Ann 
Antich."

The Indiana Section website at ARRL (http://www.arrl.org/sections/IN.html) and 
the Indiana ARRL web site (www.inarrl.org), both _currently_ show the SGL 
appointment as vacant. This appointment is made by the Section Manager. My 
assumption is that Mr. Spoelstra has been relieved of his appointment.

As an ARRL member and an Indiana resident, I'm very concerned that an ARRL 
appointee has acted on our behalf in the halls of the Indiana Statehouse in 
what reportedly is an irresponsible manner. No doubt, there is another side of 
the story. Hopefully, Mr. Spoelstra or Mr. Sellers will fill us in.
