[ILQSO] LOGS

Hi all,

We had a good run as a rover this year. 600 Q's in 9 counties. Although licensed for 25 years I am not a CW guy and that put us at a disadvantage. We made more Q's than anybody in our class but will finish 3rd. Not sure if the CW bonus is appropriate anymore but respect the hell out of those guys that do it.

My vote would be for absolutely no FT8 or RTTY. And I do a lot of both

Shorten the log submission to 14 days. A ton of guys get on to give out some points but don’t care about points and scores. I have made Q's in this contest on and off for 20+ years and I think this is my first log submission just because we were serious.

Enjoyed the hell out of it and already making improvements to the mobile for next year

NOTE-- these are not necessarily the opinions of my rover partner and brother N9UM !!

Thanks for all the Q's

73

I like FT8 , but doing so for qso parties is hard. The Vermont QP they allowed it but it was discounted points, like 2 to 1 if I remember right. And had a few other rules that went with it. Something to look at. 73WY9S Christopher

I also have nothing whatsoever against FT8. I find it rather interesting. However, I have not seen that anyone can satisfactoryly use it in this particular event.
