Yeah, I hear ya, Dennis!  We get fewer than half a dozen paper logs mailed these days (thank goodness!) but I know there are quite a few that are doing what you are doing, and it does take time.  You need to introduce your county corner portables to N1MM+ 😊

I'm curious about something: More and more contests are dropping the log submission deadlines from the usual 30 days down to ....a lot less in some cases.  I'd like an opinion (please check one or more):
1) For a QSO party, 30 days is fine.  Lots of participants are casual, and it may take them 30 days to figure out how to submit a log.  Plus that gives the sponsors time to bug the ones that haven't sent a log yet.
2) In the interest of getting quicker results, 10-14 days is appropriate for a log submission deadline.
3) When the contest is over, it's over.  I can create a Cabrillo file in 5 minutes and e-mail it while I'm thinking about it.  3-7 days is plenty for a deadline.
