Hey troops,
ILQP starts in 51 hours. I hope you are all appropriately stoked and prepared! It starts SUNDAY at NOON CDT and ends at 8 PM CDT for those of you for whom UTC is not a second language.
Please see the rules for log submission information. In short: Send a Cabrillo file or an Excel file (there is a template on the website) at an attachment to n9jf at arrl.net. You will receive an acknowledgment, but it won't be immediate. There is no "robot". Okay, *I* am the robot. <insert strange metallic voice>. My spam filter always catches a few logs, but I can almost always retrieve them within 24 hours. If you submit a log and do not get any feedback, try again and also e-mail me at jfunk at fossna.com to let me know you've sent a log. The arrl.net address forwards to the fossna address, but strange things happen.
Please send logs as attachments. Please do NOT send an .adi file. Any logging program that will create an .adi file will also create a Cabrillo file, and that's what we need. Please do not log on paper and send a jpg or other photo. If you do, I have to retype your log. I'm lazy. If you do NOT have a logging program, please use the Excel template and send that as an attachment. If you do not have Excel and log on paper, we are still accepting paper logs by mail...but yes, we have to type those....and transposition errors can occur. And I'm lazy. We still want your log. We want your log if you only make a dozen contacts (or fewer). It makes us feel appreciated. Lazy doesn't mean we don't need the ego boost. But I digress....
If you have any questions about log submission or any problems with the log, please e-mail n9jf at arrl.net directly.
Someone asked this week if I have a life outside of ILQP. For the next month, other than the fact that I am still working part time, the answer is "not really". :)
73, Jim N9JF
