My soapbox comments were a lot shorter...but needless to say...I had fun
(even with some frustrating RF issues).  I have been on the air only
occasionally in the last three years, so it felt good to participate in a
QSO Party again. What I did discover is that my new apartment setup, which
seems to work golden on low power digi modes, apparently picks up
significant RF at full power SSB. So, pretty much all the contacts I made
today were at ~25 watts.

maybe next year we will do all CW/Digi... :-)
