[ILQSO] ILQP POST YOUR PLANS!

There is a large number of private emails sent to individuals every year
plus promotion via social media. We are fortunate that a couple of groups do
a lot of local promotion to fire up their local hams, so it is not just a
few doing the work. There are several email lists and Facebook groups other
than the WIARC and ILQSO where the information has been distributed as well
this year. A very large percentage of the dedicated area contesters have
their own email list and discuss it there too. Still, we have some counties
where activity is very sparse, so we use as many methods to get the word as
we can, but I am sure there are still many operators that never get the
word. Even at Peoria Superfest I had several conversations with hams there
about the ILQP. I did no go, but I would be surprised if the ILQP was not
mentioned a few times at W9DXCC as well. Even with all that, we are always
looking for more ways to get the word out in the attempt to get more fixed
stations on in Illinois so the mobiles are not forced into covering such a
large number of counties.
We have no clue who all may be helping us spread the word, but we appreciate
them all.

Hi Jim,
I know I've mentioned this before...but there are more than a fair number of
ops who participate who do not being to this reflector. Perhaps what your
might want to do (or if not the year, next) is do a quick email to add many
of the clubs around the state that your can get ahold of and see if they can
do a quick poll of their members... Might be too much effort for this year,
but that might help?
