[ILQSO] follow up

We used to say 21290 and 28390.

The main thing is, if you find an Illinois station (especially a mobile or rover) calling CQ, SPOT THEM!

I suspect most experienced mobile ops will try to operate the same frequency of each band, plus or minus QRM.

I feel SSB activity on 75 meter phone usually centers around 3850 and spreads out as the band get more crowded, 40 meters seems to center around
7225 and 20 meters around 14250. I don't have a feel for higher bands, activity has been pretty sparse the past few years.

Thanks for all of the ideas and feedback...

2m FM on 146.55 simplex......I will be looking for stations and calling cq on occasion. If you are a mobile, I will follow you if you let me know you will be on.

Mobiles....I would think it would be helpful if you stayed in a narrow freq area...like 40-45 from the bottom of the band. I will notate where I work you and then look for you on or near the same freq on each band.

SSB...bottom of General band is 3800, 7175, 14225, 21275 and 28300. All of these have conflicts but where should I look for stations? Where do the mobiles stake out?

I am going to post the 2m freq on local club email reflector. Maybe all of us can do the same thing to encourage activity.
