Please be aware that the QRP Amateur Radio Club International (QRPARCI)
is holding a year long State QSO Party challenge. There's an attempt to
get K6JSS on during every state QSO party during 2012. So far, it has
been somewhat successful.

I'll be operating during the upcoming Michigan QSO party beginning 1600Z
Saturday, April 21, until 0400Z, Sunday, April 22 as K6JSS/MCLM from the
village of Howard City. Depending on propagation, I'll be starting on
20 metres at the high end of the cacophony of "big gun" stations,
(probably between 14050 and 14060 KHz). If 10 and 15 are open, I'll try
them. Suggestions from the MiQP rules are 28 during the even-numbered
daylight hours, and 21 MHz activity during the odd-numbered daylight
hours. Look for SSB activity on the hour and CW on the half hour.

Full information on the MiQP at http://www.miqp.org. For more info on
the QRP ARCI State QSO Party challenge see

Final note - when you hear K6JSS/MCLM please, pretty please, spot me on
your favorite DX cluster. Montcalms (MCLM) is a rare county for MiQP,
and I was amazed at response in previous years when I was spotted. Not
nearly as bad as being on a rare island in the middle of the Pacific
Ocean, but the pileups were very rewarding.
