[ILQSO] ILQP 4-corner question:

The 4-corner spots I know of are:

BOON/DEKA/OGLE/WBGO (activated many times)

DUPG/KANE/KEND/WILL (maybe more of a challenge)

CHAM/DOUG/EDGR/VERM (an N9FN staple lately)

JOHN/POPE/SALI/WMSN (can be done)

GALL/HAML/SALI/WHTE (may be in the middle of a cornfield)

As for your question, Ric, the answer would be "unlikely"...which is why we give certificates to the winners of the individual classes (1-county, 2-county, 3-county...added a couple of years ago....) in addition to the plaque, and certificates to the stations with the overall high "raw QSO score" for both SSB and CW.

I suppose the plaque *could* go to the portable with the largest number of "raw QSOs"....but that would disincentivize (is that a word??) going to the trouble to activate multiple counties as a portable...and the participants love to work those!

Todd, there appears to be at least five (5) four (4) county corners in IL.

Answer this one:

Based on past IQP results, what is the probability of winning the Illinois
Portable Station Plaque by an Illinois Portable Station operating from a
single-county, when competing against an Illinois Portable Station operating
on an Illinois County line or corner (getting credit for multiple counties)?
