***Note to Jim Funk: Cabrillo file has been sent via E-mail. Thanks for the
Info, and what you all do for us every year!!!

Yeah this was amazing as to how many people I did know that did stop by on
frequency just to say hi. lolol:) Great contest, a good time, plenty to eat
and drink... :) We usually make this a open house time for local Hams but
seems most of them had colds this year brought home by Grand kids etc...

Oh and Greg G, was good to hear him on the bands as I seldom get a chance to
chat with him ever, or our old Lincoln friend Scotty since he moved to
Ohio... I do notice that I must be spending way to much time on 40 meters
as of late. Because, when I did go to 10 meters I was not used to that band
any more.

The 40 meter band was great that day and I had contacts all over using the
phased verticals. At times the 250' of ladder line, fed to my 160M dipole
@110 feet worked better, for some stations at that current
time/propagation... But I also had my NVIS CCD antenna for 40/20 meters
that I did have to rely on lots for 20 meters, as the yagi was not always in
the correct direction. Even worked Northern Illinois on 20 meters.

The Flex 5000A worked flawless the entire time. Was the best thing I'd ever
bought as a radio for Ham equipment. The second receiver worked very well
listening to other bands etc, also even tried out the diversity function
between the two receivers on 75 meters, which works great!!!

All in all it was a blast, but also was happy to relax when it was over...
:)

Less QSOs than last year, my fault, spent some time talking to friends, but
still this was loads of fun...
