[ILQSO] FW: Logging in The ILQP

I LOVE the duo K9FN and N9FN. The only better combination would be to
contact W9FN and see if you can convince him to join one of your
efforts! You fellers might have to move up to the four corners just
south of Rockford, IL, to entice him to visit you from his location
nearby. But, that would put another wrinkle in the setup, instead of two
"Dave's" there be a duo of "Daves" and one "Tom." :)

I gather you viewed the big grin on my face when I commented about you
and the other "FN" being at CHAM/DOUG/EDGR/VERM since sp*rk gap daze, etc.

I hope to be able to cover one of the SE Illinois "4 corner" places. I
could make an excuse to visit our son and daughter in law just outside
of Cincinnati, and drap over to the corner occupied this year by WI9X,
or perhaps a nearby one of Williamson/Johnson/Pope/Saline.

If so, I'd be in a "class by myself" QRP/4CountyCorner/Portable. Yup, I
know that that's not a category recognized by anyone else, but I've been
finding that running @ 5 watts or less is a very interesting challenge.
I've been doing "almost" as many contacts on adventures with QRP
during the Michigan and Ohio QSO parties as I used to do running 5
watts. Of course, I've been choosing counties where no fixed station
has existed for several previous years, which makes the county very
attractive - particularly when I get spotted on a DX Cluster.

Hank, we don't send CHAM/DOUG/EDGR/VERM in each QSO in order to confirm that we have NOT moved to a different location, we do so because the rules of the ILQP require that we provide that information. The vast majority of the people we work during ILQP probably don't remember which where we were last year. Unlike you, I have never scored a contest log, so I can't speak for those who do either, but I am really impressed with what a great job they do processing logs in many different formats.
