There is no doubt that CW is where most of the dedicated ops are at and many
good reasons for it. I still chuckle when I look at the rules that give more
points for a CW contact than they do for a phone contact.

Jim makes a good point here, and it is not just the mobile opportunities
that are the best. With the exception of maybe the California QSO Party (and
some small ones that have no real activity anywhere), almost every QSO party
I have operated in the past few years has much more CW activity than SSB
activity.  If you want to improve your contest score, the single best factor
is to learn CW.
