Mel,
If you need to get it out of your system, there is still room for you to
come on over to Ohio for the Ohio QSO Party, which is tomorrow (Saturday)
from 11am CDT to 11 pm CDT.
For the rest of you, stop by as well. We have a great turnout announced
on our planned activity list: sixteen mobile or rover stations, and fixed
station activity from at least 75 of Ohio's 88 counties.
Illinois should be a nice skip distance from Ohio on 40 meters, and close
enough for good 80/75 meter action as well. Especially if the QRN is low,
during the day check 3545 KHz for mobile activity. We try to keep that
frequency clear for mobile activity.
Exchange serial number and QTH, multipliers count by mode (i.e. 176
possible from out of state).
Suggested frequencies are 45 Khz up on CW, and on SSB, 3825, 7200, 14250,
21300, and 28450.
Full info is available at _www.ohqp.org_ (http://www.ohqp.org)
Hope to hear lots of activity from Ilinois!

As much as I enjoy banging along a gravel road at break-neck speeds while
sending CW and tending the logging computer, I won't be able to make ILQP
2010. My niece is getting married in Louisiana that weekend. Since I went
to my other niece's wedding in Seattle, I'd better be in Baton Rouge if I
know what's good for me.
Have fun and BE SAFE
