Looking back at my logs from the few years, I noticed in '07, I made VERY
few instate QSO's, and I remember that year. Was horrible. I made my 1st 80
meter QSO about 2 PM. Now, i don't see it like that this year, but, it
indeed go long. Iowa guys were BOOMING in here, so, hopefully the N. ILL
bunch will be loud here.

My prediction is for 75/80 to be the money band tomorrow. 40 will be good
for most of the US and 20 may provide some good DX.
I will be operating with AB9QW and we will be checking 75 meters early,
even
before 2000 UTC.

40 went long awfully early today. Don't overlook 80/75 if you want
in-state
contacts.
I have to head for the Carolinas Sunday night. Rather than land 150 miles
from home and have to come back and then retrace my steps, I'll be
traveling
w/o benefit of a separate driver after the mid-afternoon stop.
Lacking a second mag-mount, all contacts will be made on the mini-Tarheel.
I'll be the weak mobile that is logging on paper while driving. Carefully.
Let the games begin...in 19 1/2 hours. 73, Jim N9JF
