Thanks for the nice comment Mel. I had problems with line noise most of
the weekend. Sorry I missed you. Could have sure used the Mults. Should
have my score ready soon. No ladybugs but lots of wooly-worms this
time. Jeff Ny4N

Tried to work NY4N a number of times (he was strong most places) and
there are at least TWO loud SSB stations up north  who lissed a lot of
mults because I could not get thru. Did work many of the other mobiles
eventually.

Actually, Murphy stayed away this time, except when I went to top off
the tank near my start point, I had no wallet or cash.... still at home
in Indy. Fortunately, I had a debit card in the glove box that I use
for scraping the windshield, and it worked the very first time I ever
used it for its intended purpose.... so I could at least buy gas (for
30 cents more than at home).... fortunately I brought some snacks with
me.

No idea how many mults yet as I need to process the log thru Excel.....
494 CW QSOs (345 on 40 alone) and 34 SSB... plus one 2 meter FM with
K9DUR... no doubt a lot of dupes as well....

Was surprised that 40 closed up so early, as did 20, forc
ing me onto 80
sooner than I expected... it was rough going at first, but the last
hour (in Clark County) on 80 CW was a turkey shoot.... the rate meter
hit 150 and higher a number of times. I credit the modified 75 meter
hamstick, instead of the small screwdriver I normally use.... added
capacitance with a dog food can mounted above the loading section....
seemed to work, SWR was under 1.5 for about 25 KHz
