Mel,
2 more slight drawbacks:
1.) They way I operate for INQP & ILQP will force me to choose one or the
other, but not both. We go camping for the weekend & operate portable from
the campground. I realize that I am possibly the only one with this type of
problem, so I will not object too loudly....hi..hi.
2.) That weekend may cause a hardship for any mobiles operating in or
passing through the Parke County area. Also, in the past there has been a
station from Illinois who rents a cabin in Parke County to operate. That
will not be possible if we move to the same weekend as the ILQP. The 3rd
full weekend of October is the last weekend of the Parke County Covered
Bridge Festival, which brings as many as 2 million visitors to the area over
the 10 days of the festival, causing HUGE traffic jams at various places
throughout the county & adjacent areas. SR 59, US 36, & US 41 are highways
to avoid at all costs, especially on the weekends. Also, ANY type of
lodging, including camping, is impossible to obtain during the festival
(worse than Dayton).
Overall, I feel that the advantages probably outweigh the drawbacks.
