Lots of club enthusiasm.
Multiple club entries.
Stations on both modes.
Willingness to put in the whole eight hours,
At least a couple of county line portable stations and/or very active
mobiles.
GRVARS has done all of these the last few years and done them very well.
Do the math. There were very few individual stations (fixed) with more
than 50K points. It would be possible to make 500K points as a club
with half a dozen fixed stations, but it is very unlikely.
On the bright side, the new sunspot cycle has begun !

Subject: Re: [ILQSO] Results
Looking at the club scores, I see a fairly logical progression of scores
up to Peoria, there is then a roughly 100,000 point gap between 3rd and
4th place, roughly 200,000 between 2nd and 3rd and another 300,000
roughly between 2nd and 1st. With conditions being almost nonexistant
on 40, poor on 20 and ok on 80 from Kane County I'm wondering what the
key to achieving 500,000 or more points is? 1000 watts and a monsterIR
is not an acceptable answer! hihi
