[ILQSO] 20 meters- a further analysis

In my five county rover QRP operation from 1700 to about 2232, I
made a point of calling CQ on 20 meters Cw (even some SSB) with
each one of my six stops (I visited one county twice on my
route). I managed to get replies on every one, though some were
harder than others, and maybe only 1 20m contact from that
county. I worked FL, AZ, and WA both early in the contest and
later, so 20 meters was open to somewhere at all times when I
operated. And my CQ calls weren't for just two or three shouts,
but for up to 10 minutes at a time to make sure I wasn't missing
someone in their S&P sequence. You can't work them on a band
unless you call CQ and try to work them. And with a mobile QRP
signal like I was putting out, you can't expect someone to find
you with one CQ call, which I know from experience as I have
operated QRP every time I've operated in ILQP. I'm not
personally in it for the points, but to provide other people an
opportunity to work me, so by golly I have to call CQ for them
to hear me.
Just my philosophy.

(who for every band change in every county meant I had to put a
different module in the T-T Scout plus get out of the car and
put a new hamstick antenna on the roof - no instant QSY for me)
