Another great time operating from the family farm on the east side of Galena, IL (Jo Daviess County).  Big difference between last year and this years was on the order of 35-40 degrees F.  The journey out to Galena and back was great; I wished I would have taken my DeLorean on the drive.  It would have been awesome to negotiate the curves, hills, and foliage in the nice Wx.

Station setup was the same.  Antenna differed in the fact that I did not have a Combine sitting in the field to tie off to.  Instead I put up a portable 36 ft fiberglass mast.
 
Station take-down was a little longer that last year, due to the mast and not having the cold temps encouraging me to hurry up.  Got back home to Grayslake, IL around 12:45am that night.
 
It was interesting to watch the gas prices for from $2.75-2.85 (Grayslake) to $2.98 (Rockford area) and trickle down to $2.76 in Stockton/Elizabeth.
