Hi,   

I was there in all three and got a bunch of thank you's for a new one but
there were plenty of others that I missed.   Next year is coming soon.   


Had to do a shorter than planned trip so I scratched Kane and McHenry
from the list and tried to accommodate the three rarer ones with the time
saved.    

Got on the air around 3:30 and had to quit about 7 or a little before.  
Could not get the jumper length right for  my antenna whip to make it hit
the low end of 80 so only a couple of contacts there.   Forty should have
yielded many more contacts from Illinois but you all know about that.   

Almost completely missed the party as my bride of 62 years needed me.  
She's been in the ICU for 2 weeks with pancreatitis and its associated
complications.  The hospital called Sunday morning about a breathing
problem so I hit the road to check on it.   She was stabilized by the
time I got there and sedated and sleeping soundly so I decided to at
least give it a try.  Hope to do better next year.
