John,
W9DUA was on 20 meters from the start of the contest (noon) until around 3 pm. At first all we could work was Europe. Around 2 pm it opened to the West and we worked Alaska and Montana. I never heard anything within 500 miles of central Illinois. Strange (and disappointing).
