Yep, propagation was a bust for me too. I operated from Will and
Kankakee, spending a good deal of time at both locations. I can't
remember ever hearing so little ILQP activity on 20m CW. I called
lots of CQs with little results, although I did work AK which was
quite a thrill. 40m CW brought a few short-lived "pile-ups" but no
long runs. I could hear KI9A faintly on 40 but couldn't work him so I
missed that mult. Didn't have an 80m antenna so I missed out on
whatever activity was there. RTTY QRM was pretty bad on 40. Hey, I
love Green Key mode... once had a Model 19 and one of the earliest
electronic RTTY decoders. But what happened to the days when RTTY
stayed above 7.075? :-/

Seems that recent ILQPs have seen various "extremes":
2007 - extreme wind, extremely poor propagation!
2006 - extreme cold
2005 - extreme ladybugs
I guess this makes ILQP an "extreme sport", hi.
