[ILQSO] 20 meters

I think it was 75 counties worked for a food prize,
correct? I came in at 77 (hopefully, depending on log
checking) so it beat my county total of last year.

It is interesting to see everyone in IL complaining
about conditions as they were pretty good for OK to IL
QSOs. The few stations I did hear on 20 were booming
in here, and 40 was workable right at the start of the
contest, which is unusual. Usually 40 doesn't open
nicely to IL until 3pm or so. It was noisy here
Sunday, with some sort of man-made noise cycling on
and off on 40, and moving around the band. Only 20khz
or so were affected at 1 time, but it was usually CW
instead of SSB, unfortunately.

80 had some nice strong signals by the end of the
contest, where 40 had lengthened to the point where
stations were pretty weak again, and very few and far
between by contest end.
