After talking to several people, this cataract surgery should not keep
me from coming up. I am going to post my route in the next few days,
and barring a major set-back, looking at about 18 counties, everything
south of I-64,Alex north to Marion. west to Perry and East to Hardin.
Again, not 100 % sure, but looks good at this time. Jeff NY4N
I will wait to see what Jeff NY4N claims.... I see a lot of white space
on the
map in the south and east.....
Having problems with the replacement laptop... as my luck would have
it, it
needs more than 14 volts to operate..... won't run on 12 or 13.8 (both
available
in the car)... got a TrippLite inverter and a DC-DC adapter both on
order....
Charging up the gel cells to run the DC-DC (quieter than plugging into
the cig
lighter), then when they die will run down the laptop battery and then
switch to
the inverter... Hope I don't need the inverter.
Because of the uncertainty of reliable reception, I will likely shoot
for fewer
counties this year. Jeff, hope you can play this year.
