You and AJ9C have been a TREMENDOUS help in "filling in the holes"! We
simply can't do the job without that kind of assistance.

Glad you found another old laptop. I was following that thread but
couldn't have added anything useful to it.

We'll try not to make you chase all the way over to St. Louis this
year....

I guess I should chime in. As usual, I will wait to see what's left over
after all the mobiles and portables have made their plans. Then I will
make mine.

Last year I got lucky and managed to weave together the unwanted
counties in the south half of the state and cover them in 8 hours. But
the time spent in many counties was minimal, leading to the situation
mentioned where a lot of counties that were not available on SSB were
the ones I covered. When you have only 20 minutes to put a county on,
and your antenna is 8 feet high, you run CW.

It would be really great if all that was left would be maybe 8
contiguous counties in the southeast.....

Anyway, my mobiling days are numbered, but I plan to give it a full
effort again. My Win 95 laptop finally crapped out , but I found a cheap
laptop with Win 98 on E-Bay and am awaiting delivery.
