[ILQSO] PLANNED OPERATIONS

Dear James and all:

I was really looking forward to the ILQP this year- especially as I am 
now a General, it was going to be a REAL blast to go County Line or 
Mobile on HF also, instead of just FM as in the past two years.

Alas, the best laid plans of mice and men...

I closed my photography studio of 13 years earlier this year, and in 
August was signed on as a Contractor (read-intern) with the Kane Co. IT 
Dept. Well, a week ago Monday, an offer was made to me to come on 
full-time as a Public Safety Radio Systems Specialist (read- I am 
responsible for all things radio for the Sheriff's Dept., Jail, and 911 
Center). Of course, I took the offer! Well, I was made aware of a 
conference held every year, the IL Public Safety Telecommunications 
Conference, that would really get me up to speed on all things 911. 
Guess when it starts...?

Sunday, October 20th...9am.

Maybe next year they'll have a session on Sunday that I can blow off, 
but this year...please show me as unavailable for the ILQP. Have fun 
everyone!
