The ILQP reflector probably wasn't the best place to mention this, 
because ILQP 2006 was so much fun!

I've been involved with 1 by 1's over the years.  As you say, "it's just 
the way it is."  Our club activated 1 x 1's for special events over the 
years, and we send out certificates or special QSL's to all who 
responded, even when it cost us a 9 by 12 envelope plus extra postage.

Many of the folks who send small envelopes are looking for confirmations 
of a county line, and send a "vanilla" reply card (which WILL fit into a 
#6¾ envelope.  I "could" send the vanilla QSL back, but I guess I'm a 
nut and want to send a copy of my own handiwork (which definitely could 
use help of an artist!). :(

Anyway, as I said in the original message, I'll send a QSL to anyone who 
requests on (and who is in my log, of course.)
