[ILQSO] Do hams read?

I'm wondering if hams read, or, if they read, do they comprehend what
they read?
I operated N9Q, and have a "so-so" nice 4" x 6" QSL card which I send to
anyone - even the ones who don't read the special events section of QST
or the special events listing on http://www.arrl.org/contests/spev.html
which says "To receive a special event QSL card (when offered), be sure
to include a self-addressed, stamped business envelope along with your
QSL card and QSO information."
I've received several QSL's and have responded to each person who sent a
QSL. However, it's a real pain these daze to remove stamps from the
#6¾ SASE which all but one person sent with their QSL - thanks to the
one person who included a #9 or #10 SASE. I generally put the #6 SASE
in the "to do" file, and send out the response QSL in a freshly stamped
#10 envelope.
It's no big deal, because the number of QSL requests is relatively
small, but if this were a DXpedition, I doubt I'd bother responding to
folks who don't look up the special events column and comply with the
general regulations for obtaining a return QSL.
Which reminds me - if anyone wishes a N9Q photo qsl, send along a #9 or
#10 SASE to N8XX at QTHR. I WILL respond to those who don't even send a
SASE, or send a #6¾ envelope, but a #9 or 10 is much easier.
