I had a blast from my 3 county corner (GREE JERS MCPN) - nice to be on 
the receiving end of a pileup.  Running 100W into a 40M Hamstick on my 
little 4x4, the loading coil was about 6" from the steel frame of the 
soft-top. I doubt if I was radiating more than 10 watts, but conditions 
were pretty decent on 40, and I could work anyone I could hear.  I was 
entertained by a little black kitten who kept catching mice in the 
harvested cornfield where I was parked - I think his day was as fun and 
productive as mine. Called it an early night after 40 went long, and my 
tuner just woudn't match an 8' whip on 75.
I'm doing this again next year!
