[ILQSO] Routing for Sunday

Depending on how many antennas you have on the car, and how big they
are, you may or may not get strange looks and inquiries from the
locals....

Six meter FM, I'd say try the calling freq or just above. I'll admit I
don't know the protocol as I've never operated 6 FM. Six SSB, 50.125
unless the band really opens, in which case, move up.  Two FM, 146.55;
avoid 146.52.

YMMV. VWTLOP. 73, Jim N9JF

Subject: [ILQSO] Routing for Sunday

Hi all:

A little change...I was planning on making a stop at what I *thought*
was a 4 corner county line at KANE/DUPAGE/WILL/KEND, however...after
looking at a better map, I see it's not (actually 2 3-corner intersects)

and worse yet, probably right in the middle of someones backyard, and
they are in the middle of a subdivision. So Instead, I'll break it up
into some 2-county lines, then head West.

And, I'll have a driver...KB9VWU (Dave). He's not big into contests, but

his schedule opened up, and doesn't mind the ride. Might be on as a
second op if things get busy, or spotting.

I *might * have 6m mobile (FM only) with me...did we establish a 'base'
frequency for that? Just use the calling channel?

Thanks,
Eric KC9FQV

Kendall
DeKalb

Ogle
Cook (maybe)
