[ILQSO] 40 meter horizontal mobile antenna ideas

Hi Joe,
Good to hear from you. Are you back in Quincy yet?

The horizontally polarized loop would be a good antenna but pretty tough
to pull off for a mobile. I would be restricted to a maximum dimension
of about 8' to a side, 25% of full sized. It is am interesting thought
and I intend to look into it more.

Thanks

Danny

Dan,

A vertical loop will give good high angle radiation. The pattern near
vertical will be omni-directional (good NVIS). The problem is getting
reasonable
efficiency and bandwidth (the same for all mobile 40 meter antennas).
