For those interested....
A total of 211 logs was submitted this year for ILQP. About 80% of
those were sent electronically; the rest were typed into Excel by NA9Q
and NB9Q. Therefore, all logs were processed in a similar manner.
This has been a multi-step process:
1) Put all logs into similar format.
2) Create a Master Log from all submissions
3) Process the Master Log to detect "busted" callsigns and exchanges
4) Export the individual logs from Master Log.
5) Process individual logs to detect duplicate contacts, calculate
multipliers and valid contacts and a final score.
6) Enter all individual scores into a report form.
Steps 1-4 are completed and Step 5 is about 50% completed. With some
extra help from the other members of the WIARC committee, I envision
being done with the log-checking process by about January 1, 2007.
At that time, the committee will have a "pow-wow" to see if there are
any remaining issues and will post the final results ASAP.
Thanks for your patience!
