Mel, the chances are greater of Clay/Fayette/Johnson becoming one county
by next Sunday than of gas going below 2 bucks a gallon....but you can
always hope!!

Yes, I'm working on it.  I am still waiting to hear from NY4N.  Jeff has
come up from TN the last few years and made a big contribution to the
southern IL county needs. W1NN, who is currently in the PA party, has
expressed interest in coming to IL this year, but I have no idea of his
route yet.  I'm trying to twist KQ0B's arm to run a route out of St.
Louis.  Clay might be on his list, but he is singing the "$3 gas blues"
as well.  Another possibility is the AJ9C/KE9I bunch from Indiana, as
they have helped in southern IL before.

In short, if you know of anyone who might help down there, LET ME KNOW,
or better yet, contact them yourself!!  I'm not out of ideas, but I'm
one guy.  Does anyone know how to contact N9LEC?  His e-mail on QRZ.com
bounces.  How about K9LU?  Anyone know a ham in Evansville or Cape
Girardeau who might help??
