(forwarded on behalf of N9JF by K9LY)

The long-overdue analysis of the *2004* party has been prepared and
sent to K9LY. Not sure what is involved in getting it up on the RAMS
site. Anyone who is really anxious to see it may request a copy from
<mailto:jfunk at fossnorthamerica.com>jfunk at fossnorthamerica.com.

Please note in the last section ("Prospects for 2005") my comments
about log submissions and rules.

Numbers of logs were up considerably last year, especially from out
of state. If you are well-acquainted with individuals from outside
IL who are dedicated contesters or county hunters, this would be a
good time to send them an e-mail and invite them to the party. In
your correspondence, be sure to include the ILQP web page URL
<http://my.core.com/~jematz/ilqp/ilqphome.htm>http://my.core.com/~jematz/ilqp/ilqphome.htm.

We still need more mobiles, though the map is filling in nicely with
two or three likely additions that will take care of almost all of
the southern counties.  What we are seeking now is fixed stations;
the mobiles can't be everywhere, all the time (though they do
try....). Talk up ILQP at your club meeting, at the pizza joint, on
the local repeater, and in casual conversation on the air. That guy
you know who gets on 40 meters for an hour on Sunday afternoon (or
would, if properly motivated) might be just the one to keep us from
missing a county this year.

73, Jim N9JF
