Had a blast last Sunday even though I had to pull the plug at 5:30 PM 
local time to keep another commitment. Weather was perfect for 
mobiling. NEØP is right to feel homesick! ;-)

My first stop (WILL/KANK) was under some QRN-generating power lines, 
but the noise blanker did a decent job of quieting things down. 
Operated from there for about  an hour on 20 and 40.  The second stop 
(KEND/GRUN) was a bit quieter and I kept busy for an hour and a half 
before going QRT.

Made about 140 actual contacts. Got called by a surprising number of 
Europeans on 20CW, mostly DLs. Very exciting to work DX from a modest 
mobile installation (IC-706 w/ Outbacker). Didn't work any of them on 
40, unlike 2 years ago when propagation to Europe was outstanding.

It was nice to work many familiar calls. A few QSL requests have 
already arrived this week and I'm glad to confirm a "new one" for the 
county  hunters. Hope to CU on the air again soon.
