Mel, I don't have an answer for the first one. 

For the second, for my part, it does not matter to me the order of the info 
columns, JUST SO LONG AS I CAN FIND, IN SEPARATE COLUMNS: TIME, STATION 
WORKED, BAND, MODE, EXCHANGE RECEIVED.  I will be dumping everything into 
Excel to process it, and if two of those items are lumped in a single field, 
it will be a zoo.  Having a separate column for your county (in the case of 
mobiles) will be a big plus.  I'm still deciding how to handle the ones that 
don't provide this.
