We have found that the Tripp-Lite brand inverters are especially RF quiet. =
The 140W version ($30-$40) will run a laptop and has no fan and thus no =
audible noise. The RF hash is detectable, but only just barely. There is =
a 300W version which is also RF quiet, but has a fan which makes a =
moderate amount of audible noise. We tossed it the back end of the =
SUV/Mobile shack and the audible noise was ignorable.

Usual disclaimers apply: I have no relationship with Tripp-Lite, not even =
as a customer (the inverters we used belong to my team mates-not me).
