FW: [ILQSO] FW: county coordination?

The item below came directly to me from K8MR. A good idea, I should think,
and perhaps more practical than trying to coordinate anything on the air.
In the spirit of fairness, nothing outside of amateur means should be used
to produce contacts; however, cell phones I believe can very legitimately be
used to let another op know, "Hey, I'm running behind; is there any chance
you can pick up [county] since I don't think I'm going to get there"?
With that in mind, if you would like for other mobile ops to have your cell
phone number, REPLY TO THEM DIRECTLY, NOT TO THE LIST! If you want someone
to have your number and don't have their e-mail address, you can of course
solicit that on here, but I don't want to put anyone in the place of having
their cell phone number put out to the community at large.
In other items, KB0WIL and KB0ECF will be mobile (probably mostly SSB) in
Pike, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey and perhaps Macoupin, Montgomery, Sangamon,
Morgan and Scott.
W9MSE and K8MR send their regrets. Maybe next year?
Does anyone know KQ0B and what his plans might be? Is he on the reflector?
How about K5OT? We still need more mobiles!
Remember 146.55 as the 2 meter FM frequency.

Jim,
FYI, in the MI and OH qso parties we collect a list of mobile ops cell phone
numbers to circulate among the mobiles. It's not intended as a "I need Cook
County" tool, but rather an emergency number list, to be able to call
someone in the area that you might not be able to make a planned county(s),
to find someone to give you a ride if your car breaks down, etc.
