Those of you who have checked lately have noticed that the "Map of Proposed
2002 operations" has been updated on Sept 27.  Go to

There have been several postings since the 27th about plans.  Keep them
coming.  There is a *huge* block of "unclaimed" counties in the northeastern
part of the state.  Don't assume we know you're going to operate.  Don't
assume that since there are a lot of hams in your county that we "don't need
you"!

Springfield area:  can somebody from there put the "3 M's" on the air:
Menard, Montgomery, Moultrie???

There are at least four mobiles whose plans are not firm yet.  I will drop
Washington and Clinton from my route (KF9D is covering them) in order to
pick up Hamilton, and Clay if necessary.

Let's make the 40th anniversary event one to remember!
