I agree with much of this. I have been active in the ILQP since abount 1993, &
I recall then, until a couple years ago, there was little or no
mobile/portable or even out of state activity. The guys at RAMS have made
this into a premier event, one that has turned into an event that really look
forward to.

But, it is time to take another look at the rules. The 8/co rule is nice for
out of state stations, that is a legit, nice mult for them. Keep it for out
of state.

Portable & mobile county lines...I like it! It is exciting to have one of
these folks call in! Keep it....

We don't need to "mimic" other state QSO parties. But, there is a need to
"tune" it up a bit. Electronic submissions would be nice, but, what is all
involved in doing that? I would not have the first clue. Maybe if someone
would agree to help set it up for the RAMS guys, we can get something going.

As far as starting times, I wouldn't mind seeing it run from 1700z-0100z. It
gives everyone a little more time on 20, & 40. 75 SSB is useless, and lots
of moblies can't do 80 cw, although, as propagation goes away, I'd bet we see
more use of 80/75.

Congrats (and thanks) to the RAMS folks for another FB time. We have another
year to deal with these issues, so lets discuss it. We are ALL part of the
ILQP family, so lets all discuss the troubles/solutions.
