Getting the time off of work and into the Starting position at the the =
IL/WI border in JODA was the first chore. My rig shut down 5 minutes =
before the start of, and several times during the contest. I figure that =
1 hour of operating time went down the tubes.=20
I was having RF/ground problems on the low bands. I Cut the power down =
to 50 watts and limited my 40m operation. Just as well, because 40 =
seemed pretty dead here.
20 meters was jumping. with both long and short skip.  I think that I =
worked 5 DX countries before I worked my first Illinois county. ( My =
first time reaching IQP DX limit)

Trying to clear the strongest sations off the top of the pile-ups, I =
wound up with 47 DX Qs..

Propigation is what it is.. so theres no use complaining..You guys had =
the same condx that i did... but one thing ... Fellas .. give the =
mobiles a little time to operate before sending  "Your Call??" or "Your =
county ??" that will be all be made obvious in a minute or so if you =
just LISTEN !!=20

Special mention should go to Art Evans,N9KQ, my driver and one man =
support team. His understanding of the road,and conditions made things a =
whole lot better, and his sense of humor made things a whole lot =
easier..

All in all, it was a great day to be driving around in gods country.

Hat's off to N9CO/0, NE0P,and N6MU... who managed to pull me out on most =
of the bands,and most of the counties that I worked..
