Got started early this morning loaded up the computer with all the stuff for the contest checked over the rig and figured all was well for 1300 local start. Took wife out for breakfast then some quick shopping (it pays to keep the wife happy when contesting on her day off). Got back in plenty of time to even watch the start of the Bears just before the start of the test wife comes down and says fridge is not working (same one I have been nursing along for a couple of years trying to save up for nicer rig). So I work on fridge for couple hours think it is fixed get down to rig and make a few contacts on 40m. Go back up check fridge its not working again so we haul everything to fridge that is in garage and I figure it is time to get back to contest, ha ha the wife has another idea, off to Sears to look at new ones we go. Find one (no new rig for a while now) load it up in the truck and back home, take old one out and put new one in figure what the heck it is 1845 local might just as well eat now. Get down to shack and contest for an hour go back up transfer food from one fridge to another, then back to the shack. Well ended up with 40+ Q's running QRP with an attic dipole on 40m and inverted L on 80 and only a little under 2 hrs. air time not to bad I guess still had a great time. Thanks to all the guys that had to pull the QRP signal out and can't wait till next year.
